Alright, one day into the conference seasons and we're down to eight undefeated teams and thirteen winless teams.Last Night#10 S. Ok, last night of conference play, let's recap some games and enjoy the night off.
Last Night#4 Millsaps 75 #22 Babson 62Visiting Millsaps was down by 4 at the half but they exploded in the second half for 45 points while holding Babson to just 28. Both teams had very similar stats in this one and both were led in scoring by their starting point guard and a player off the bench. In World Cup news, the United States got through to the round of 16 today and pseudochamp breathed a huge sigh of relief. A couple games left in the non-conference slate and we're down to 24 undefeated teams and 24 teams without a win. Nice to see that I came back from vacation in time to see Wooster play two difficult ranked opponents. I should have stayed on the cruise ship.Last Night#3 Susquehanna 61 #8 Whittier 58After being down by 1 at the half, Susquehanna fell further behind a couple times before finally going ahead 42-40 about midway through the half. Well we're back after another exciting night of Basketball :) DAY 2 GotN: #1 Millsaps 97 - South Vermont 81 Our GotN was a tight game until about 30 minutes in. Millsaps was down 2 with 10:36 to go in the second half before breaking open the game with a 17-0 run. Pierre Leigh led Millsaps in scoring again with 18 points off the bench and this victory has extended Millsaps streak to 37 straight wins! With the first game of the season in the books let's recap on what happened last night. GotN Review #2 Millsaps 104 - #25 Johnson and Wales 70 Millsaps showed the world they are ready to add another championship banner as they opened the season with a convincing win against JWU, 104-70. The game was nothing like last year with Millsap opening with a 30 point lead at halftime. Pierre Leight led all scorers with 23 as he came off the bench for Millsaps. #4 Johnson and Wales (0-0) (spasticity) @ #5 Millsaps (0-0) (brianxavier) Two DIII powerhouses will treat us to the start off the 74th season as Johnson and Wales will travel to Jackson, Missouri.
